Sustainability Reports
Since 2008, an annual sustainability report has been prepared that describes the Company’s management, achievements, and challenges. Since 2011, this report has been prepared using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) methodology, which has received an A+ rating.
The sustainability report is a tool for providing interest groups with information about progress on the commitments associated with the corporate sustainability model and the creation of shared value. It explicitly seeks out activities or projects that generate social and economic value for society, and that in turn contribute toward driving innovation and giving the Company a competitive edge.
Competition Act Disclaimer
Due to recent amendments to Canada’s Competition Act, which create significant uncertainty in respect of how Canadian companies may legally communicate with the public regarding their environmental goals and performance, including their actions to address and mitigate climate change, Frontera Energy Corporation has temporarily removed sections of its environmental and ESG content from this webpage.
In view of the absence of any transition period nor guidance from the Canadian government, and considering the uncertainty on how the new regulation will be interpreted and applied, the company has decided to restrict public access to its environmental-related communications at this time. Consequently, any clarity that the corresponding Canadian authorities can provide through specific guidance may help direct the company’s communications approach in the future.
